Pros:
- less pollution, reduce CO2 gas emissions
- a reliable source
- low electricity tariff
- low operating cost
- safety
- large power-generating capacity able to meet industrial and city needs of energy
- a known developed technology ready for market
Cons:
- high construction cost due to complex radiation procedures
- high risks of accidents and unknown risks
- target for terrorism
- uranium resources are expensive than mine or coal and also not unlimited
- the legacy of environmental contamination and health costs for miners has been catastrophic
- its waste lasts 200 – 500 thousand years
- hazardous effects of radiations on human beings
- if in wrong hands can be used for the destruction and will crash the world peace
- transportation of these fossils will leave deadly to those who will accept it
However, the cons as we can see, similar to the myth in previous posts, these cons are being solved.
